Open Link Monday

Another Monday has rolled around, with its invitation to all toads to come into our imaginary garden, with a poem to share, and a few words to leave behind.  Link up a poem of your choice and visit the blogs of other toads, friends and new-comers to our open forum.

good morning, toads! here is my second poem inspired by the song of Mr. Waits. i was actually trying for (and still am working on) something different but came up with these so far, without getting at what i am trying to describe, yet. i guess that's how it goes.

Hola, Toad chicas! (and chicos, though we don't have many)

Mine is fresh from my journal, another foray into the realm of arctic explorers of old.

Morning, All!
My piece is inspired by an unattributed image from my Tumblr queue. I searched to find the artist. No luck. The effort made me ponder the whole "man's search for meaning" scenario.

Insomnia — friend or foe of poets everywhere? I couldn't sleep, so I got up and went to sit on the edge of the bathtub, where the light wouldn't bother my husband or wake up the dog, and I wrote this little ditty. I still liked it in the morning, so here it is.

Afternoon, toads and toadettes and tadpoles--I linked up because brendan mention my poem in a footnote to his, so thought I'd make it easier for everyone. Thanks for those of you who've already been by, and I'll be around later to sample the poetic goodness.

I'm reading an intriguing book, The Friendship" of Wordsworth and Coleridge. I could live happily ever after in that beautiful home you have placed at the top of this post...

Somehow my fingers slipped while dealing with Mr. Linky ... that happens when you are this age .. and I slipped in the wrong poem address.

Another childhood memory from me, I'm afraid.
