Open Link Monday

Welcome to the Imaginary Garden ...

Good day to one and all! I hope this fine Monday in September is the start of a great week for all our poet friends in the blogosphere. I'm sure each of you has known the struggle of keeping the poetic muse alive. Expressing oneself in writing is not as easy as some might imagine and sometimes the words seem trapped or the ideas too well-worn. I sometimes reach the point where I wonder if I have anything left to say, and without doubt, I know I would have stopped trying if it were not for the support and remarkable feed-back I receive for even my most feeble attempts at poetry. For this, I want to express my heart-felt appreciation of all my loyal readers and friends. Perhaps there are those who will visit today who would like to do the same, either in comments or on their own blogs. When we link up the poems of our choice today, let us take the time to spread the love because in the Imaginary Garden, no one is taken for granted, least of all by me.

Grateful to have found the garden, Kerry, and the tending you do.

For this OLM, I've posted an older prose /poesy piece about my grandmother, from my other blogger blog.

Good week to all ~ M

Hi Kerry ~~ Your flowers are always sooo pretty and these are too!!! :)
Mine today will definitely qualify for a feeble attempt award. But it was what came to mind. Just expressing it was hard for me.

I had a short narrative in mind with thoughts inspired by Dave King's poem of last week, and by a few people I have sheltered and tried to aid and understand lately to set them into a more self sufficient path... and a new sense of what our minds and the world is.

Kerry, do you realize your commitment and encouragment keeps so many of us going? I wonder the same; I look at some of my blogs and think,'maybe not' but if I want to improve, if writing is what I love, put it up and be humble enough to be willing to revise, edit, accept feedback because in the garden, I know it's always given with love and respect. Thank you for being here and being you.

Many thanks for all the warm words. I shall be back tomorrow to complete my readings - that dread homework has kept me otherwise occupied this evening.

I am so far behind in my commenting that I would feel way to guilty sharing a poem here tonight. BUT I will try to swing around in a couple of days to read these poems.

Had to enter my name and URL twice because the first time I had a typo and it didn't take.

Thank you for making comment on the issue of visiting someone's blog and leaving a comment because it is sometimes disheartning when one used to get visitors who'd leave at minimum an 'hola' but lately they don't visit and if they do don't even say 'hi'.

Trying to sustain the aura of creativity is sometimes exhausted without some support, some feedback. The abode of the muse can sometimes close its windows if it feels there's no longer fresh air on the other side.

Deborah, you spent so much time leaving your thoughts on everyone's blog but your link here is faulty so none can return the favour. If you read this, please link up your page again.
