I am making myself pretty scarce until July but the Houston Rockets were playing (Rockets won) and I couldn't sleep.
This seemed to be such a fun prompt I did some multitasking and did these guys here a piece. I like Dr Suess and he got me going with Mahal's soul, mood lyrics begged for print. Watcha think?

Friends! It's Friday! Apologies, I've been running around and only now have I even been able to check in here to see what's going on with Taj and Ted. :)
Can't wait to read what you are all offering, and please, bring on some more! I will read and savor each one... just know if you don't see me visiting, that I will, but it *might* not be until tomorrow morning. Life gets crazy, as you know. xoxox & rock me to my soul, poets! M.

The Dean of Caitlin's university signed off the graduation speech by quoting Dr Seuss 'Oh, the places you'll go...'

I think it is quite an amazing coincidence.

Ha. Kerry - glad you missed the collision! Be careful. Thanks, Marian, for the interesting prompt. (Must get to work.) k.

I adore Dr. Seuss, and I bet Taj Mahal is a wonderful musician. Good luck on the poetry writing. Have a great weekend! :)

I couldn't think of a clever way to mix the blues and the Suess, so just went for the blues with a little rhyme. Sorry Marian!!!
