Which Bee?

To be successful,
One has to be one of three bees:
The queen bee,
The hardest working bee,
Or the bee that does not fit in.
One success is inherited,
And the next one is earned.
While the last one is
And happens on its own

I love bees. I don’t see many of them in New York City these days, which makes me rather sad. I’m currently visiting with my in laws, and there are bees everywhere—in their garden, in the surrounding woods, and bees galore in a nearby lavender farm—life is good.

For today’s Weekend Mini-Challenge, I invite you to share a bit of bee poetry… specifically, we will write poems that explore a moment in the life of one of the three bees flying in the stanza quoted above. And because 3 is such a lovely number, let’s craft our poems in exactly three stanzas.

Please write a new poem for this prompt. Let us know which of the three bees you’ve chosen to write about. Add a direct link to your new poem to Mr. Linky. Buzz around other Toads’ gardens.

P.S. I will be gone most of the afternoon and early evening. I shall delight in your bee poetry later tonight. Read you then, dear Toads!

Bees are fascinating and I can imagine crafting a fun poem from this! Alas, I may not have time today as I'm gearing up for a performance/dinner tonight. But I will enjoy what I read here while I have a few moments! ;-)

I had the honor to visit a lavender farm a few years ago to photograph and my daughter painted. Such beauty! It is my favorite smell (tied with clean linen on an outdoor clothesline)

Loverly prompt, Magaly. I am not able to write today but will see if I can explore the hive-mind tomorrow.

I am glad, Magaly, that you had us choose a bee. Really great prompt idea. And 'just don't get too long winded.'
Our bees are diminishing in Texas, even our own legislators don't want to spend government money to help find the reason and a cure. Crooks, they need it for their own pockets. Now if the pharmaceuticals would do a little lobbying with them for this they would spend it to make themselves richer.

@K, Thank you! I'm away from home, so I didn't have to suffer the heat. But my nephew said that he had to water my wee balcony garden a few times a day.

@Jim, So many things would be fixed if our government (and some private companies) used their power and resources for the good of all. Maybe one day...

@Susie, I'm very glad you liked it.
