The Tuesday Platform

Welcome to the Imaginary Garden...

Greetings to all toads, poets, followers and friends. Yes, it is another Tuesday in the Imaginary Garden, another opportunity to meet and share our love of the written word.
My choice of clip today is an excerpt from the poem, And Death Shall Have No Dominion by Dylan Thomas, here recited by George Clooney. The anniversary of 9/11 brings to mind the countless deaths which have occurred since that fateful day, 15 years ago. It has taken a terrible toll on the human psyche, with no apparent end in sight. Let us remember the fallen and not forget to celebrate life in poetry and community.

Hello, what a wonderful reading (though I think I can never be tired of Dylan Thomas reading his own poetry)...

Hello everyone, this past weekend was, the tragic anniversary of a horrific event that has left no one, untouched, by its barbaric nature. May we use these dark sorrows, to build a better, caring and enlightened society, where no one feels left out.

Happy Tuesday - I am almost green, it has been so long. I just sit here and wonder if my poem is inappropriate. I hope not.
