Open Link Monday

Calling all toads to the garden...

Welcome to the imaginary garden where all are welcome to share their unique creativity in the form of poetry. I look forward to the Open Link each week, because I know that many crazy talented poets will bring out their best, often a glimmering gem which has been hidden away in the archives.

With this in mind I have been digging around in my own memory and have linked the Bee Gees 1969 classic hit, featured in the movie Melody, for tomorrow is The First of May.  I hope it is the start of a productive month of writing for all online poets who walk this way.

Thanks for the open link. I've just linked 'Nature's Song' and linked to your site on the actual post too. Hope to be back to see who's linked so I can visit and read/comment. Have a great week, folks!

Another oldie from me - some members have read it before today, but I thought I would share it for those who haven't. A bit of existentialism for the last day of April.

I've always loved that song, Kerry. Jose Feliciano does a very nice version, if you haven't heard it. I feel certain the lyrics must have something to do with the novella "The Apple Tree" by John Galsworthy, one of my favorites also.

My entry this week is an oldie about a weatherman.

A new one from me, because of my ongoing self-challenge to write a poem a day in April. This is the last one, and I borrowed one of Mama Zen's pics from yesterday for it, as one was just not enough to write to.I look forward to celebrating Mayday like you cannot believe! Be around for reading a bit later.

I've linked in with an oldie, but it's still one of my favorites. Since I'm one of the new toads in the garden, I hope it'll be new to most of you.

I am sharing a poem that was inspired by another photograph of Mama Zen's that was on the Sunday challenge.

I don't remember the movie, but I certainly remember the Bee Gees.
Again, I'm using my Mad Kane limerick for Open Link Monday. Very busy around here getting ready for the upcoming (but not soon enough) kitchen renovation.
