The Sunday Challenge ~ Featuring Hannah Gosselin

I'm very happy to introduce the photographic talent of our very own Hannah Gosselin of Metaphors and Smiles.
Hannah Gosselin is lured by words and loving each shining facet of faith, family, nature, art, poetry and people. She enjoyed The Institute of Children’s Literature and received a diploma: “Writing for Children and Teenagers.” She’s a student of life greeting each day with a fresh smile.

Portrait of the Artist
~The act of writing delves into an invisible multidimensional realm that can bring so many layers of importance to a single snap-shot moment.

~Photography, for me, are the muses’ eyes, providing a means of capturing and displaying the fleeting moments of what is visually inspiring to me.

~Writing, for me, is the muses’ mind, it makes visible that brief, passing goose-bump-good feeling that I get when I’ve perceived a raw moment of inspiration.

~I find it amazing that our thoughts can pattern themselves into visible creations in the form of singular words, growing sentences and mounting paragraphs; we create line after line what we want our readers to see, we make visible the invisible makings and imaginations of our minds.

~Poetry provokes me in the space of lacy- lucid-dreams, whispering wished letters that swirl into lengthy lines leading me deeper into their design.  Free verse is woven in the pattern of plans, the concrete creation of each intricate detail of day.

The Sunday Challenge is posted on Saturday at noon CST to allow extra time for the creative process, so please do not link up old work which kind of fits the image. Members will only respond to poetry written specifically for this prompt: this is in the spirit of our Real Toads project to create opportunities for poets to be newly inspired. Management reserves the right to remove unrelated links but invites you to share a poem of your choice on Open Link Monday.

I fell into your pictures with a passion today, Hannah, and thank Imaginary Gardens for the display. When my brothers and I were small, red poppies grew wildly and wildly grew along the west side of our home. A baby could have been lost in them while we were already as tall as corn fields after the 4th of July. Thank you for the brilliant inspiration! I'm trying for Haiku-ness.

Hannah, I followed your photos to thoughts of harmony, light, and passion...somewhere by the sea. :) I'm delighted to have your sight on my blog today.

This is the first time I've written for Real Toads and I was happily surprised to see your lovely smile and yes, their presentation included, a delightful treat.

Okay toads and toadettes--I'm in. Still not quite used to this audio thing, so please forgive the roughness there. Hannah, I couldn't stand it--had to use two of your lovely pics. I'll be back tomorrow to read.

Thank you for featuring the multi-talented Hannah! I've known this stunning poet through her words since 2009, and she has quickly become one of my favorite poetic voices. Her photography and her "whispering wished letters" always, always point me to hope, truth, and the shining Son.
