― Charles Darwin, The Autobiography of Charles Darwin, 1809–82
I guess, after an introduction such as these words of Charles Darwin, it goes without saying that this Open Link provides us all with the rare opportunity to 'read some poetry...at least once a week' and what a pleasure it is for me to spend my Monday afternoons in very good company, even if I have nothing new to share, I take the time to read. My hope is that others who frequent this site feel the same way. Remember that our links do not expire in the Imaginary Garden, so please return tomorrow to reply or respond to comments left on your blog rather later than you were online. You may also link up a poem on Tuesday, if you wish. There are no parameters to this weekly meme, only the request that your post contain some element of poetry.

Hmm guess we all are back to the daily grind, happy Monday and have a lovely week!!!!!
Good advice from Darwin. Last night on BBC Wales we watched a documentary historical TV show, "Dylan Thomas comes to New York."
It was very enlightening although there may have been fictional embellishments. It included flashbacks to his childhood and married life as well. Much of his poetry was portrayed by group readings. In the movie he read his poem, "Rage, Rage" which he wrote to express his feelings about his father's death.
If you get a chance, I recommend you watch it. Did you know he died in 1953 at age 39.
You grasped that we are in Wales, U.K? Barmouth.
good week to all ~
Good morning poets, wishing you a pleasant week.
Good morning poets, hoping we can all have a wonderful week. :)
Hey Kerry--good advice--my husband, who is a wonderful (amateur) pianist--tells me few people really listen to music, and I tend to agree. (I don't know that I do, really, not like him anyway.)
If I had things to do over, I think I would change even more than that though!
HOpe all well. k.
Still visiting my daughter in Oklahoma. Hope everyone has a great week!
Thanks for giving poetic toads a place to share :) I will enjoy reading...
Hey folks! Once a week. I'd get a lot more done if I didn't read poetry daily, but what a joy! I'll be back to read. Have a great day and a happy week.
hello, friends! happy Monday. ribbit.
Hey, I am doing a blog tour today if anyone has time to stop by!
Kenia's poem kick-started my brain. Thank you, Kenia!
Fireblossom, I'm honored, sweetie. <3 I'm headed to your blog. Kiss.
Morning Toads! Great to see ya again!
Love spending time here on Mondays . . . I'll be back later to read all the delicious offerings.
Hello friends.. I so love Darwin's intentions-- at least we can do better than him in our small respect-
And please, not my intention to enter the same poem twice.. please remove one of them :-)
Having a bit of writer's block ... here is one from way back in 2010.
My biggest wish, my forever wish... is to grow old thinking about all the wishes that came true while I was younger.
So, yes...
