The Tuesday Platform

Greetings, my dearest Toads… today is National Handwriting Day. I adore holidays with writing in them, so I’m all happy cackles and delighted giggles. Let’s celebrate the art of hand-inking our thoughts and feels into words, by sharing a poem—new, old, short, long(ish)… your choice. And if the handwriting mood strikes your muse, I’m sure I would not be the only one who would love to see some of your handwritten yum. Mayhap, some of the rough draft for today’s poem, or part of the poem, or the entire poem… like I said, the choice is yours. If you choose to share a picture of your entire poem, please include a typed version as well.

 Please add a direct link to your poem to Mr. Linky. Visit other Toads (their word-ponds grow the yummiest things). Have a happy Tuesday and an even happier National Handwriting Day.

That is such a coincidence, Magaly! I didn't know there was a handwriting day when I composed and posted my prompt for dVerse yesterday.

Happy Handwriting day every one; mine is awful. I remember growing up I really really admired my mother's handwriting

much love...

I love the personal touch of handwriting!

Thanks Magaly for highlighting handwriting day. I would have offered a pic of my penmanship, but i'm voluntarily going without my phone for awhile. Every other way to upload is simply too difficult.

Thank you Magaly, for the heads up on the holiday. Strangely, our banks are open today. My handwriting is so atrocious that I often print, in all caps, instead of writing. I am so glad that we have now computers to write for us.

Found a bit of notes from the past... In another universe I could write by hand.

I had no idea about today! A great way to celebrate. I offer an old poem written anew in handwriting. My handwriting isn't what it used to be. Lol!

Have a good week!

Dear Toads,
I am so happy to have made it hear today. I look forward to visiting you all. It may take me a day or so to do, but it will happen.

Love always,

Carrie :-)

You do not want to see my handwriting. It's bad.

@Sanaa, I just love that hand-inking our thoughts is irresistible. It always makes me smile.

@Kim, Indeed! I was all giggles when I read your poem (and a few others linked to dVerse).

@Gillena, Now I’m even more curious about seeing your handwriting, lol!

@Kerry, As do I. ;-)

@Angie, Do tell us more about going without a phone by choice!

@Jim, My Piano Man’s handwriting is so terrible that I started calling it abstract art. He, too, opts for all CAPS in self-defense.

@Bjorn, I read your notes and admired your curves. :-D

@Susie, Hooray! I love it when we can share the art. Inspiration should spread.

@Bekkie, Handwritings, too, need to evolve with us. Maybe, yours has finally reach its wild phase. That’s what I tell myself when my handwriting looks so evolved in its wildness that reading it requires a special skill, lol!

@Carrie, Right back at you!

@எஸ், I want! I want!! I totally want!!!
