Open Link Monday

Welcome to the Imaginary Garden ...

photo credit: jurvetson via photopin cc

Greetings to all poets! It is always a pleasure to extend a warm welcome to visitors from all ends of the Earth to our poetry garden each week. I trust that this Monday finds you all well, rested after the weekend and ready to share in the wonderful excursion into writing, which is our mutual joy. Please link up a poem of your choice and take some time to visit the blogs of your fellow writers, or invite a friend to join us today.

Kay, I have tried several times to leave comments on your blog, but for some reason they never show up. I wanted you to know I am reading your work. I just don't get why my comments never appear.

Susie, I can't imagine why. I know I've changed my primary e-mail address, and haven't informed all my family and friends, but it had nothing to do with my blog, and I'm getting comments from other people.
Blogger does as Blogger will, and we have no control, apparently.
Sigh.

Your pic today would be very good for my last line poem! Have a good week.

Kerry, that photo is so beautiful it's hard to believe it isn't a painting. I've half a mind to use it as a prompt. Tomorrow, when I'm awake.

And the deleted comment was me. Found a typo. Going to bed now.

I wrote something a little different to post today (but a couple of things were posted after that due to the inspiration and challenges of the prompts) You Were No Angel a narrative perhaps for a more down to earth story- or maybe merge it with the more mystical one on the gods.

I felt the muse and decided not to wait unless the mood passed. Apple Chill ideas are from the times in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. 70's

Still, sometimes I write something that is in advance a week or so such that another poet and I answer each other in poems at the same time if posting possible only once a week on the early internet days.

Kay, Have you checked your Comment Spam? Sometimes people's comments end up there for some unknown reason. I suspect this photo has been digitally enhanced but it looked suitably imaginary to me. I'm very happy for you to use it, but please provide the acknowledging link, which is a prerequisite of using photopin free pics.

I'm new to the site and I shared a poem! I hope to read others and comment as well! So excited to join this writing community. Are we allowed to share poems we've recorded ourselves doing? Like YouTube video's as well?

Hello all!

@Robert, Many thanks for your comment. I am sorry I can't leave my thoughts on your fine poem because of the google+ sign in thing.

This is my first time here and it is simply lovely. I love toads ever since Wind in The Willows started showing on TV in the 80s when I was a wee kid.

Sharing a poem I wrote a few months ago to see how everyone feels after reading it. I will take a few days to visit everyone here in turn.

Cheers and happy to be here, thank you Sherry for an awesome site yet again... :) :)

Blogger... oh, bugger!!

I am just now back on my feet after a week of recovering from oral surgery. Oy. Now temp choppers which cause me to lisp and will be in my way for six MONTHS, but the bright side is, at least I have a full set of teeth... and I have dental insurance, so I have no reason at all to complain.

Love to you all, glad to be back, Amy

Snuck in this oldie which I cleaned up a bit, as the first section straddled the line between "derivative" and "outright theft."
