The Tuesday Platform

Ice Festival in Northampton, Massachusetts (photo by Don Treeger for the Springfield Republican)

LOVE, friends, love! All you need is….

I figured some of us probably can relate to this frozen feeling, and others who are experiencing epic heat waves might find this image refreshing. Love to you all!

Welcome to the Tuesday Platform, the weekly open stage for sharing poems in the Imaginary Garden. Please link up a poem, old or new, and spend some time this week visiting the offerings of our fellow writers. We look forward to reading your work.

It is freezing in New York City, and I'm not loving it. All right, maybe I'm not hating it too much either, since I can leave the house anyway. I guess I should stop complaining, and be grateful I haven't lost power like some friends a few miles away. Small miracles.

Happy super cold or hot Tuesday!

its the cool of morning, as i write this comment, but it will be super super hot as the day progresses; and the Tuesday Carnival big band mas explodes through the city in rainbows of colour, sparkle, gryations(we say wine) and sheer fun; as for me i had my share i can compare; now i prefer to settle into a book (at age 65) with peeking intervals of TV views

much love...

Past few days its been wonderfully warm here in Florida, but that northern miasma of cold and snow (artic seamelt causing a fickle jetstream) marches this way with rain and bitter cold by Thursday. Hey, let's move South ... Uh, that would be a problem for the natives there. We're a problem for the natives everywhere ...

All around me is 5 inches of snow I dare not shovel in the 72 feet of sidewalk around my corner lot ... Someone will come by with a shovel, I expect. And I have written an odd little poem which has nothing to do with it. I'll be back to read everyone's poems though it may take me a week to do!

Good morning, friends! Good to see you all here so far. I will be otherwise occupied for much of my time this week, but I will make it around to visit everyone. Patience! Stay warm, and stay cool! :)

People whose poetry I like to read are so often inspired by this site, I decided it's time I came to the party! With not one poem but a series of tiny ones — on love.

PS Luckily for me I live in a sub-tropical part of Australia and never have to deal with snow. I hate the cold! Commiserations to all of you who are enduring it.

Warm wishes from my sunny spot where I soak in so much good poetry! My ditty is just silly, but it can still fritter across the stage. I hope you don't mind.

Hey mariAn-- I imagine you are experiencing weather similar to ours though yours may be even more dramatic. Anyway I wrote of the season. K.

I had some last minute medical issues and haven't been able to visit anyone yet. But worry not, I lurk around your cyber homes soon!
