Open Link Monday

Calling all toads...

The merry month of December is upon us, with its promise of holidays and family get-togethers; a 'cakes and ale' break from the rigors of the year .  I hope that we are all afforded some time to devote to our writing.

Please use this open link to share a piece of writing, be it fresh off the press or something from your archive. All are most welcome to join in.  Bearing the spirit of give and take in mind, we ask you to visit a few of the blogs that have been linked alongside yours.

What a great idea. If my link's worked I've given you a piece that I used to launch my 'Advent calendar of sorts', which was part of my NaNo Novel this year.

Mine is very old but it's also up-to-date as it's a Xmas poem for children.

Thanks for the invite, Kerry! Looking forward to reading some great poems. This one seemed appropriate for this time of year, if a bit sad. Happy reading!

Mine is an oldie but goodie. I don't have a NEW poem because that little rat Kerry tagged me and I had to write for the challenge she gave me instead! That will be up tomorrow. :-)

My offering this morning isn't exactly a traditional Christmas poem, but I hope it gives y'all some literary pleasure. It might even make you want to pick up the classic novel upon which it's based!

Mine isn't at all about the holidays, but I strongly feel that in the holiday season, we all need a bit of comic relief, especially me. This one rolled off the presses this morning after watching an episode of one of our favorite reheated old BBC sitcoms last night.

I am so glad to finally find this Toad blog I have seen referred to on many of my wordpress friends' blogs! I will be contributing tomorrow: I do not blog on Sundays, so Mondays are always a big catch up day for me. I WILL be posting a little something at my own site, http://granbee.wordpress.com today. Will visit here again tomorrow!

Man ... Mr Linky is getting really smart. He seems to anticipate my current link before I even place it into the window.
