Welcome to the first Play it Again, Toads! I, Margaret, am pleased to host this monthly challenge. Each month I will highlight three challenges from the Imaginary Toad's archives. Just click the attached link and you will be transported back in time. However, if you have another prompt you have always wanted to try or re-try, by all means, help yourself.
Archive #1: Mary's Mixed Bag - working conversation into a poem. Click HERE.
Archive #2: Kerry's Word Challenge - write an Epistle or letter. Click HERE.
Archive #3: Hedgewitch's "Chained Rhyme, Part One" Click HERE.
I took the above photos at Hatteras Island (North Carolina's Outerbanks) last weekend on a mother/daughter trip. You may work them into your archived poem selection if you like.
Please, original poems and link your specific post to Mr. Linky below. Also, make it clear which challenge you are resurrecting, and include a link.
Note: I will be taking ANOTHER trip with another daughter this weekend and that is why I have been a bit absent here - but I will make up for it next week and visit everyone and will pop in here a bit over the weekend. When I get back I will visit everyone.
As many of you know, this challenge is posted Saturday at noon in order to give you some time to ponder … Monday Open Link will post Sunday at midnight, so remember, you can always join us with your efforts there as well. I look forward to reading all your amazing creativity!

Thank you, Margaret. This is a fantastic idea you've had of allowing us to revisit older prompts and challenges we may have missed.
Wow this is a great way to delve into older prompts! Will surely try this :)
Margaret, thank you so much for this. I took the other route. Because you posted a photo of my favorite place upon earth - a place I do not see often enough, I posted some of my beloved photos of the OBX - along with a haiku to make myself legit! And I mean from the bottom of my heart ... thank you, thank you, thank you!
perfectly perfect, Margaret... thank you. i'll be excited for your challenge every month! and i truly, truly LOVE the chained rhyme. (xo Hedgewitch!)
I used one from Hedgewick.

Thanks for revisiting my chain rhyme prompt, Margaret. My muse is not cooperating at the moment. Have a lovely time with your daughter.
Love this!! I wrote a poem with conversation!
I should never do these when I'm loopy. Sorry. :> ~
It seems weird to revisit my own prompt but I had a letter that needed writing this morning.
Thank you for reposting these old prompts.. I took the chained rhyme path (never done that).. Sunday is wonderful with these mini-challenges.
am I too late? I thought I was going to write a loooooong letter to one of my favorite literary characters ever, Maurice Sendak's Sam, from Where the wild things are.
Then I wrote a verse and it was it. A note, to a stubborn child, a plead more than a command.
Kiss you all.
I Hedged and combined the chain with a fibonacci. Cool idea, looking forward to these this year ~
Thanks Margaret, this challenge played in perfectly to a conversation I had with my youngest daughter.
I am back from my Outer Banks weekend (sigh) and back to the weekly grindstone. I will be visiting everyone tomorrow. Thanks for participating.
Ok - I submitted late and will also post on Open Link Night. Will be by later tonight to visit and comment.
