Welcome to the Imaginary Garden in Poetry Writing Month!
This is my song of the month. I love the whole concept of describing a lifetime by looking back over significant years and events and the people who influenced one, and by looking forward to anticipate what is still to come.
The Tuesday Platform is an open link, which allows you to select from any of the poems you have written before, or you can write something completely new. As an option, allow yourself to be guided by the concept in Lukas Graham's song.
* WRITE * POST * READ * ENJOY *
Happy Tuesday everyone! I've been thinking about my mom a lot lately. My poem is for her.
A wonderful song... thank you for the video Kerry. I link up a poem of fantasies though (but the prompt of past, present and future still intrigues me)...
I connected with the idea of song...and tried something different.
Love this song... thanks for introducing it to me.
Hey Kerry--I am still okay on day count/word count--but late on the posts, just posting one for Izy's. May put it as general or may come up with something today. Hope your daughter's graduation went well, and thanks for song. k.
Oh my goodness, I love that song, Kerry. This challenge will be a bit difficult but I'm up for it :-)
Hope you're having a wonderful week so far, I'm swamped with work this afternoon sigh posting my poem "Robust." Thanks Kerry for the lovely opportunity!!
Lots of love,
Happy OPT all!
As it is Open Platform Tuesday, I have posted an older write that fits the prompt.
I watched the video and the song is so beautiful! I may yet write something new.
It is a great song, and part of its charm for me is that the band is Danish. Wonderful to see a young European group breaking through into the international scene, so we may benefit from their talent.
That's so cool re being Danish--agree with you, Kerry. k.
Kerry--I hope it's okay that I link my Soviet poster poem to the platform as I don't know when I'll be able to write today and may not come up with something till very late or not! k.
cool tune, Kerry. this PAD stuff on our lily pads is ... a challenge today. best to all ~
Back for another go 'round...love ya, Toads!
Thank you, Kerry!!
I was trying to write for Izy's challenge from yesterday, but my attempt to write Russian sci-fi decided it would rather be Russian folk tale -ish. So I link it here.
Mine's a new one, as that's the idea of Poetry Month - doing duty for three different prompts.
Mine today uses the index of a Betty Crocker cookbook from 1961. Not really anything musical about that!
Will visit and comment this weekend - running behind this week...
