Greetings to all toads, poets and wayfarers! Welcome to the Open Link event - The Tuesday Platform. It comes with a twist in April, with the offer of a wee prompt for those whose muses are almost faint with the effort of writing a poem a day!
Troubled, 1917 Wassily Kandinsky |
The OPTIONAL extra today is the work of 20th Century artist, Wassily Kandinsky. Visit his page at WikiArt, select the image that speaks to you and WRITE! The artwork is in the public domain, so Fair Use principles apply to its use.
Side note: I am away from home, attending my daughter's graduation ceremony so my apologies in advance if I take a few days to visit all the links.

Thanks for a really nice prompt Kerry. Congrats to you and your daughter.
Had a similiar event Last December.
much love...
Thanks Kerry. Wrote off prompt this morning.
Happy Tuesday everyone!!💜☕
Congratulations to your daughter on her graduation, Kerry. I bet you're a very proud mum! I've linked a rewrite of a poem I wrote for one of your mini-challenges last year.
When I saw this picture in passing, I said, "Salad, trouble?" Guess 'it takes troubled to know troubled.' I was down when I woke up, friends troubled. One left his family for assisted living, one died a week ago, and Barbara Bush, nicest U.S. First Lady we've ever had, giving up on life. She lives in our town.
But life goes on, I was cheered by your good news, your dear daughter, of the new generation, graduating. CONGRATULATIONS TO HER !!! AND TO YOU !!! Please tell us all about that, about her, and her future plans. I am genuinely happy for the both of you, Almost tearing!!!
Graduation?! How wonderful, congratulations to your daughter and to you, Kerry! xo
Graduations are always so special - Congrats and enjoy as I know you will.
I know you will enjoy your daughter’s graduation, such a special day. All the best to you and yours :-) There is so much beautiful poetry inspired by your prompt today, Kerry. Wonderful to read.
I'm just linking with another prompt for Tuesday as the pace is more than I can keep up with! Congrats to your daughter
Congrats on your daughter's graduation, Kerry. Enjoy the festivities. I am still at the farm. Will be back at my desk at home tomorrow.
Many thanks to all! yes, it was wonderful. My youngest was awarded her Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology Honours degree! A very proud moment.
Congratulations on your daughter's graduation, Kerry! What a great achievement 😊
thanks for hosting Kerry - and a wonderful surprise, well several, right?
Kandinsky? WhooT! Love him, so this jump started my slumping over-dead mindset.
And a ceremony, a celebration of achievement? How exceptional ~ and I'm sure it was truly an inspiring and great moment for you both. How special. And of course, nothing but best wishes for her future, too. Definitely a time to treasure and enjoy these earned rewards and accomplishments. 🍃
Lovely for your daughter and for you. I well remember my proud Mum attending my graduation long ago – and me attending my brother's and later my son's, both also some time ago now. They are great events, marking great achievements.
I am usually leery of ekphrastics, because I think it is hard to match truly great artworks – but on the other hand, I so love Kandinsky!
