Tuesday Platform: NaPoWriMo Style
Hello Poets and Poetry lovers! It's the first Tuesday of NaPoWriMo. Since Tuesdays are usually open mic night here at the Toads, you can certainly feel free to pop in with a poetic direction of your own choosing (though in the spirit of NaPoWriMo, I'd ask that it be a new piece). But if you feel you need for some direction, feel free to take some inspiration from the following musical piece:
Stop by your fellow toad's virtual lily pads to see what they have to share. Like what you see there? Start a conversation.

Woo hoo! Alice Merton is dropping it like it's hot! never heard her music before but I'm sold.
Alas, the video is unavailable here, even when I go to YouTube. But the idea of roots / no roots plus the idea of three gave me something.
The beauty of this April festival of poetry is that I never have a clue what I may write each time I sit down at my computer. I just follow the red thread through the maze.
I chose to respond to the song 'No Roots' by Alice Merton 💜 Phew! Day 3! Happy Tuesday everyone 🍹
@Kerry; Yes I know exactly what you mean! It's so exciting!💜
Oh my goodness, Blogger and Google Drive are giving me so much trouble! I'll never make it through April if this persists. Argh
I wrote mine late last night using my smart phone, an old Galaxy 5. I topped it of using my iPad this morning. When I get back to my computer I may finish it a bit but probably not make many word choice changes.
The picture might be better placed at the bottom but I can't do that without a lot of trouble using my iPad.
..
Thanks Rommy for another amazing prompt for 30/30! Great song too - has just that jive to get one moving along with day and (hopefully) some inspiration.
Happy Tuesday and 30/30 everyone!
Excited about this one because I heard the song for the first time recently while on the road to see my dad where he lives now, after he emptied out the last place he lived with my late mother (our last family home) and moved in with his new partner in another state. The DJ said Alice Merton moved around a lot as a kid, and so did I -- so it feels like a bit of an anthem. I have a friend who also moved a lot and said she had that same reaction to it.
Goodday ... not writing more than usual, still thought I'd join the frenzy today.
Hi, Toads! Thanks, Rommey! Enjoy NaPoWriMo/GloPoWriMo2018, everybody!
Happy Tuesday to all. I actually removed the sound card from my computer because sound distracts me so. I could listen on my smart phone but... I can't believe it is day 3 of Nannerneener and I am going to submit a poem. It is one I have been working on for a bit so it is new but it is old. I am looking forward to dropping the pome and reading the others later today. Yeehaw....it's Tuesday!
Love the song - a challenge for me as today's prompt. Happy :-)
Nice music video. Happy Tuesday
much love...
Oh, I love this song! My poem came straight from listening to it.
@LC & Helen Patrice
I am unable to leave a comment but I enjoyed the reading of both poems.
This prompt is a huge challenge for me,,but I am up to it :-) I think.
Thank you for your creative voice
@Helen Patrice - I wanted to leave a comment, but it isn't a terribly straightforward process. I don't know if the song provided inspiration for your piece, but it certainly fit the song. Trauma to the roots can certainly effect the way a plant will bloom.
