happy monday
Sorry I haven't been around. I was supposed to be on a trip, but I broke my right foot last Thursday. I have been fighting pain with over the counter meds because I can't take narcotics. I have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor today. Anyway I hope to catch up with reading the poems on the last two prompts and perhaps write for them also. Hope this will be a great week for everyone.
Won't be a great week for you, and you're part of the "everyone" you're addressing, so won't be a great week for Toads until your foot is unbroken.
Avoiding narcotics is always a good idea.
Avoid cortico-steroids, also.
Auntie Kay knows these things.
Luv, K
I hope you recover fast--stay off that foot! I have written another last-line lost-love poem, but it is kind of cheerful.
Monday, already... it has been a busy week. Sometimes I have read philosophy that reads like poetry and in the offering, a story that surely influence by these prompt experience may contain a few poetic lines. But it is cosmology also so feel free to ignore and not reply for those not in the loop of irony in science. I do not mean to judge anyone. And it was a debate inside to post here on in my science blog. Art trumps science in the end. It concerns recent news on Einstein's brain.
Susie, best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Put in a slightly re-worked write from a few days back. Good week to all ~ M
Oh, Susie, I'm so sorry. Hope for relief from pain and a quick recovery.
Susie, get well fast. Been there, done that, twice. It isn't fun and will slow you down a bunch. But the pain should go away when it gets casted.
Kerry, with your picture I feel I've been there. Tuscony, Italy? Provence, France?
..
Hoping that the cooler weather the recent rain brought stays. Have a wonderful week everyone.
"The kettles on. The summer's gone. Another day."
happy monday to all! sending love to you, Susie. egads. xoxo
Painfully and carefully climbing stairs with an injured foot... well it took awhile but all is well again so it is forgotten... it will pass.
I thought I posted as number 4 for this Monday link... but the connections are so iffy. If you changed the link let me know and I will move everything back to the dry physics blog or make it a poem only- that if we had a scan of all you poetic geniuses, our warts and all.
Edgar, your link has not been altered. A link was removed so yours went back a space.
Now and then we have a case of photographic bloggers erroneously linking to Real Toads - there is usually a language barrier, which accounts for the misconception, especially since some of our poets also post photos to photography sites.
My kids are all still visiting "home" - I return them Tuesday. Sorry for not participating in the awesome challenges this past weekend, but I will go back and see if they work as I move forward.
I will visit and read here before participating in a new challenge (I hate getting behind)...
Back...back in the New York Groove!!!!!! Hello everybody.
Hello all, joining in late! These challengeas are awesome! I didn't get to do more than one last week. I work all day, then yoga half the evenings. I hope to get more this week. I still check in and read all the Amazing poetry!
I know I told you already Susie but keep getting better! And just write more lol. Kidding, be well!
Hey Kerry--here is a true draft poem - I don't know how else to fix it but here it is. It is based on levertov prompt so maybe should link there. I really enjoyed reading those poems. k.
I'm adding a second oldie as my tip to the new hockey season; I am a Winnipeg Jets fan, if for no other reason than their existence is the redress of an injustice, the return of hockey to a city and people who loved it dearly and pined for its return, despite it being improbable raised to the power of No Way In Hell, so...Go Jets Go!
"Clouds" was
written in response to a poem by Misky for Miz Quickly's Impromptu Poetry prompt, Clouds
I posted it even tho I don't know if it IS a poem in the true sense...would appreciate any comments or suggestions as comments.
Thank you,
Siggi
siggi, your link requires a login... can you change your settings so we can read your poem?
It's so nice to be back in the Imaginary Garden! I'm catching up after a month's break.
