Open Link Monday

Welcome back to the garden!
"A family of frogs now lives in the pool where Edna St Vincent Millay's parties took  place" (somanytumbleweeds.tumblr.com)

And we get two pictures today, because this is one of my favourite photos ever, of St Vincent Millay under the magnolia tree.  Public domain photograph

Real Toads provides this open link for the sole purpose of sharing a poem of the writer's choice. While it is preferred that new work be linked to the specific prompts and challenges, there are no restrictions imposed here.  Open Link Monday, and all other posts on Real Toads are open to anyone who would like to participate and share.  No available link has ever been labeled "Members Only", and this is a misconception I would like to dismiss once and for all.  We do ask that if you use the link provided, you will visit the blogs of a few of the other poets who have linked alongside you.

Regulars to dVerse Poets Pub might recognize this entry, as it was posted there before - but it is one of my favourite pieces! Enjoy!

I played with this one a lot last week. Decided to let it get some out into the fresh air today. ;-)

Just love her place and I believe it is a tourist destination... ? Has any of the readers here ever visited?

I have a Magpie poem linked... it isn't a prompt from IGWRT's. I hope that is OK.

What lovely photos!
I'd say she is tops on my list of female poets.
Amazing woman!
My poem is a sevenling inspired by Anna Akhmatova and prompted by our own Marian.

I have a haiku with one of the photos I took on this foggy morning; it's on my "This Country Life" blog instead of my usual writing site. It's still foggy here in our part of NC...

Lovely pics! Thank you for the forum gardeners and toad masters!

I can never comment on "Other Mary." Her site comes up as a blank screen. Could someone relay her that message?
