COMPOUND WORD LIST

I do love compound words, especially the ones that (like you suggest) make funny pictures in my head, or interesting sounds in my ears. I can't remember how young I was when I felt in love with the word "backbone", but it was one of my first loves.
dang, a word list. didn't find ones to fit my pen, so won't be playing today... but may come back to it later. Thanks, Kerry ~
This was an unusual challenge so I spun away from my usual comfort zone.
Hey Kerry--fun challenge--well, my poem isn't fun--it's a little on the strange and intense side-- but I thought the challeng fun--k.
Now THAT'S a word list!!
Compound words always give me a hassle, i always have to double check. Some sounding compound turnout to be two singles, some sounding singles turn out to be compounds
I turned this prompt into a silly treat
Hope you enjoy my write
much love...
Compound words are wonderful things and you have probably noticed I am prone to making up my own a lot--this challenge actually seems like I may be able to write to it--we shall see. Thanks, Kerry!
I'm happy to know this is a fun challenge. Unfortunately, my own fun is being curtailed by a Parent-Teacher meeting this evening (There is a compound word I could live without!) I may have to come back to this one myself.
I love compound words... and even more creating your own... But that might come in a future prompt :-) Let's see if I can come up with any..
Thanks for the challenge Kerry.
Compound words make life interesting, Kerry. Hyphenate if 'Google' says.

I am enjoying all of this so much! Totally stretching out my poetry muscles and grateful for the awesome company of enthusiastic writers :)
This should be a fun challenge, Kerry, thank you for the lists which were a big help.
Oh my, that was fun!!
At first I was stumped... Then I started throwing words together (which might not really have been the aim of the challenge) and had some real fun! Great prompt!
I freakin' LOVED this, Kerry. Thank you! So much fun to play with all the incredible words today.
PS: Can somebody remove number 19 Linky for me? I posted a link for a fellow poet at dVerse yesterday, and forgot to change my name info back. Sorry 'bout that. Gracias.
(gotcha, De.)
Thank you, Marian! :)
I posted up had an entirely different entry for today's NaPoWriMo. Then you guys compounded the issue with your prompt. My muse saw "fireflies" and it was over.
A little late getting here, but glad the prompt sparked a poem I needed to write.
Thanks Kerry! This was fun once I finally had a chance to sit down and give it some thought.
Just the magic...thank you, Kerry!! :)
A few compound words while my cake is in the oven ...
